General procurement notice : : Comesa Capacity Building Project Against Trade Based Money Laundering (tbml)
the Principal Objective of This Three-year Multi-national Project is to Strengthen the Capacity of Selected Countries - Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo (drc), Somalia and Sudan to Detect, Prevent, and Disrupt the Flow of Illicit Funds From Trade Transactions, Thereby Reducing Resource Leakages While Increasing Opportunities for Increased Domestic Revenue Mobilization (drm), Peace, Security and Development.
The COMESA Secretariat has applied for a grant from the African Development Bank
to finance the COMESA Capacity Building Project against Trade Based Money
Laundering (TBML). Disbursement, in respect of any contracts signed, will be subject
to the approval of the financing by the Bank.
The principal objective of this three-year multi-national project is to strengthen the
capacity of selected countries - Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),
Somalia and Sudan to detect, prevent, and disrupt the flow of illicit funds from trade
transactions, thereby reducing resource leakages while increasing opportunities for
increased domestic revenue mobilization (DRM), peace, security and development.
The procurement methods under the Project include: (i) Goods to be procured through
Open Competitive Bidding and Shopping; and (ii) Consulting Services to be acquired
through Individual Consultancy Selection, Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) and
Consultant’s Qualification Selection (CQS) methods
