Invitation to bid - supply of goods
the government of belize (gobz) has received financing from the caribbean development bank (cdb) in an amount equivalent to usd1,264,896 (one million, two hundred sixty four eight ninety six dollars, united states currency) towards the cost of the implementation of multi-hazard impact-based forecasting and early warning system for the belize river watershed project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds to eligible payments under this contract. payment by cdb will be made only at the request of gobz and upon approval by cdb, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the grant agreement. the grant agreement prohibits a withdrawal from the grant account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of cdb, is prohibited by a decision of the united nations security council taken under chapter vii of the charter of the united nations. no party other than gobz shall derive any rights from the grant agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the grant.
the ministry of public service, governance and disaster risk management is the executing agency for the project, and the ministry of finance, economic transformation, civil aviation & e-governance is responsible for the overall implementation of the project. the ministry of finance, economic transformation, civil aviation & e-governance intends to invite sealed bids from eligible and qualified bids for the supply of one geonetcast-americas satellite reception system (1 lot).
the bidding process is conducted according to the procedures specified in procurement procedures for projects financed by cdb (january 2021), as published on cdbs website and is open to all bidders from eligible countries.
