Invitation To Early Market Engagement Rehabilitation Of The Serenje To Mpika Road Packages 1 & 2 And Upgrade Of The Nakonde One-stop Border Post Lot 2
1. Purpose of Notice
This Early Market Engagement (EME) notice is issued to inform potential contractors,
consultants, and suppliers of the upcoming procurement opportunities under the
Transport Corridors for Economic Resilience Project (TRACER). The Road Development
Agency (RDA) jointly with the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry, with support
from the World Bank, intends to undertake the following:
(i) Rehabilitation of the Serenje to Mpika Road a strategic link under the Kapiri
Mposhi (Zambia) to Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) Corridor (Packages 1 and 2); and
(ii) Upgrading of the Nakonde One Stop Border Post Infrastructure.
2. Objectives of the engagement
(i) Inform the market of the upcoming procurement opportunities.
(ii) Seek feedback on technical, logistical, and implementation aspects.
(iii)Promote transparency and competition in line with World Bank Procurement
Regulations.
(iv)Identify potential interest from qualified firms and consortia
3. Under scope of upcoming procurements
The registration email should include:
Company name, country of registration, and website
• Primary contact person(s) and email(s)
• Brief company profile highlighting relevant expertise
• Indication of interest (Package 1, Package 2, Package 3 or all the three)
Preferred mode of participation (Physical or Virtual)
5. Confidentiality & Ethics
All information shared during this EME is preliminary and subject to change. Participants
must adhere to the highest standards of integrity, avoid conflicts of interest, and refrain
from offering gifts or inducements. All discussions are non-binding. The Road
Development Agency and the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry looks forward to
the participation of interested, eligible qualified firms as defined in the Procurement
Regulations IPF.
