Tender description : General Procurement Notice For: Honduras Sustainable Connectivity Project Technical-Economic Evaluation, Environmental and Social Evaluation, Final Design and Technical Supervision of the Works for the Sustainable Connectivity Project of Honduras, CA4-CA13 Connection Road Corridor, Study, Design and Supervision of the paving works of the Municipal Interconnection Program – section 16.00 km Municipality of Quimistán The Government of the Republic of Honduras has received a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) in the amount of US$187 million and intends to use the funds to make payments for the procurement of goods, contracting for works, related services, and consulting services under the Honduras Sustainable Connectivity Project (P181166). This project will be fully financed with World Bank resources. The project will comprise the following components: Component 1. Construction of the CA-4-CA-13 Connection Road Corridor: This will finance the construction of a new road of approximately 42 km between Macuelizo (CA-4) and Corinto (CA-13), incorporating international standards of climate resilience, road safety, and environmental sustainability. This corridor will improve connectivity between the northwest of the country and the Caribbean coast. Component 2. Resilient Improvement of Feeder Roads: Will support the paving of approximately 41 km of existing unpaved roads connected to the new corridor. Resilient design, road safety, and access for rural communities are prioritized through participatory consultations for section selection. Component 3. Inclusive, Integrated, and Sustainable Landscape Management: Includes activities in areas adjacent to Cusuco National Park, focused on the restoration of degraded landscapes, sustainable value chains, community ecotourism, and women's entrepreneurship, promoting environmentally and socially inclusive development. Component 4. Institutional Strengthening, Capacity Building, and Project Management: Includes technical assistance, training, and procurement to strengthen the SIT in road management, road safety, and project administration. It also covers the operating costs of the PEU, audits, and specialized technical support throughout project execution.
