SUMMARY
The purpose of this contract is for Maintenance of the Multipurpose Softball Field at the American
Embassy in Managua.
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE), insurance,
materials, consumables, tools and equipment necessary to ensure that the multipurpose softball field is kept
in optimal conditions for safe and with playability standards. The only equipment and input provided by
the embassy would be a mower John Deere model Z977R with its fuel. The mower to be operated by a
contractor’s certified technician.
Location, area and work hours are specified in Chapter 2. Detailed tasks to be executed are described in
Scope of Work (Chapter 4).
A purchase order or contract will be issued to awarded contractor.
After contract award, the Contracting Officer shall issue a Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will
establish a date (a minimum of ten (10) days from start date listed in Notice to Proceed unless the Contractor
agrees to an earlier date) on which performance shall start.
The performance period of this contract is from the start date in the Notice to Proceed (once the contractor
is awarded) and continuing for 12 months, with two one-year options to renew. The initial period of
performance includes any transition period authorized under the contract.
