Request for Proposal : The Establishment of Long-Term agreement(s) (LTAs) for digitalization services, e-learning courses development, management, maintenance and adaptation of e-learning platforms
In 2020, the Government of Greece and UNICEF announced the establishment of UNICEF's official presence in the country. In March 2023, UNICEF and the Ministry of Health (MoH) cosigned a Programmatic Agreement to jointly implement the National Action to combat Child Obesity. This nationwide program includes interventions at all levels of prevention (i.e., primary, secondary and tertiary prevention), across service delivery platforms and areas, among them school-based intervention programs. At the same time, according to the World Health Organization definitions, physical and mental health are interrelated. Both physical and mental health are influenced by socio-economic and environmental factors and can be enhanced through effective public health interventions.
To serve different programmatic priorities (such as combating bullying in schools, supporting educators to deal with mental-health issues and to strengthen students’ resilience, promoting European-democratic citizenship as an integration pathway, using sport for development methodologies to strengthen life-skills and positive, non-violent behaviours, UNICEF GCO seeks to develop e-learning tools, similar to the ones developed under the National Action to combat childhood obesity, supporting:
Teachers’ capacity building through asynchronous and blended on-line training,
access of parents and adolescents to meaningful resources, including videos, podcasts, online games and simulation, and applications.
In line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and mandate to help every child receive a quality education, UNICEF is committed to ensure that all tools are fully accessible for children with disabilities and special education needs, supporting fully inclusive approaches.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal for Services (RFPS) is to identify and establish non-exclusive Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with agencies that have the skills and expertise to assist UNICEF GCO for current and future initiatives for implementing activities related to digitalization services, e-learning courses development, management, maintenance and adaptation of e-learning platforms
