The project involves the upgrade of the King Faisal Highway from Al Farooq Interchange to Al Fateh Interchange. This includes road widening by 32 lane-km, new asphalt surfacing, installation of kerbs, street lighting, traffic signs, and vehicle restraint systems. It also encompasses the construction of grade-separated structures such as a 4-lane underpass at Al Fardah Avenue, two single-cell box underpasses at Al Fateh Highway, and a 2-lane U-turn flyover at Al Farooq Interchange.
