CAF is looking for a specialized entity to develop the prospective study of tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean and define the regional roadmap towards 2035.
Tourism is one of the main drivers of development in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to boosting economic growth and generating millions of jobs, the sector faces transformations stemming from technological advances, changes in traveler preferences, sustainability, climate change, accessibility, and the evolution of destination management models.
Given this scenario, anticipating the trends that will shape the future of tourism is fundamental to strengthening the region's competitiveness and guiding the formulation of public policies and development strategies that respond to the challenges and opportunities of the coming years.
In this context, CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean - through its Sustainable Tourism Directorate, invites consulting firms to submit proposals to develop the prospective study of tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean with a horizon to 2035.
The consultancy will aim to design a regional prospective plan that identifies global trends, builds future scenarios and defines strategic lines of action to promote more sustainable, inclusive, resilient, competitive and digital tourism in CAF member countries.
